I feel sad for doing it but I had to call in sick to work today.
The past 5 or more days I've felt not quite right. On the tired side of things and slightly dizzy/nauseated often. No, I'm not pregnant (that would be horrible right now) but I can't seem to shake it.
During the night I had to kick the cats out of the bedroom. Honestly, I don't know why we even keep the door open lately because they've been annoying as all heck. While getting out of bed and tossing the cats out of the room I was overtaken with dizziness that I have not had before. I leaned against the bed the whole time because I couldn't get myself to stand up straight. When my alarm went off at 7:30am the same thing happened but with an accompanied headache. I called in sick and went back to bed.
Even after an additional 4-5 hours of sleep I still feel yucky. I don't have a cough or a runny nose or congested sinuses. I merely have the worst case of dizzies (is this what they would call 'vertigo'?) and headache to accompany it. I've had more instances in the past 2-3 weeks of feeling dizzy than normal.
I did a little digging and I think I know the problem and it's totally my doing; I haven't been taking my supplements (calcium, multi-vitamins, and iron) as I am supposed to do every day. I still take my mental meds but haven't taken my other ones for weeks. This all changes now. I think I've been a little anemic recently. It explains the fatigue, dizziness, nausea, etc. I think that perhaps going to the gym last night exacerbated things a little causing me to be worse for wear than normal.
I'm going to start 2010 right. I did this to myself and I can fix it, too!
